Episode of Roman Forum [Foro Romano]

We kept heading to the Roman Forum [Foro Romano] from the Palatine Hill [Palatino] then we reached the place where we can see the best view spot.
From there, we can see the whole ruins of the Roman Forum. We could also see the building of National Monument to Victor Emmanuel II [Monumento (Nazionale) a Vittorio Emanuele II/ Altare della Patria].

Near there, there were botanical gardens "Farnese Gardens [Orti Farnesiani sur Palatino]". We were surprised to see many orange trees in the middle of the city of Rome! We were also surprised to see many oranges growing in the trees in the Farnese Gardens.
We went down the stairs and slopes, then we arrived at the main place of the Roman Forum. The Roman Forum is the center of the city for the Roman citizens during Ancien Roman period. We could see the ruins of political, judicial, commercial and religious buildings.
Near the exit, there was the Arch of Septimius Severus [Arco di Settimio Severo].

 

Tomo & Chouchou's advice for Roman Forum [Foro Romano]

The Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill are the good place to enjoy Ancian Roman ruins. To visit all the places of the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill while taking photos, it takes more than two hours. We advise you to take time and enjoy Foro Romano & Palatino as much as possible if you have time.
If you don't have enough time to visit all, please don't miss the best view of the Roman Forum from the hill and main place of Foro Romano!

We found a big Italian stone pine tree in Roman ruins.

Around the big pine tree, there was a big stadium called 

"Palatine Stadium [Stadio Palatino]".

 

Near the stadium, there was the ruin of 

Augustus' Palace [Domus Augustana] .
(Augustus was the first emperor of the Roman Empire [Imperium Romanum].)

We could see the city of Rome from the hill of Domus Augustana. 

We also saw the ruin of Domitian's Palace [Domus Flavia].
(Domitian (=Titus Flavius Domitianus) was 

the 11th emperor of the Roman Empire.)

There was a peristyle courtyard called "Peristyrium"

with a fountain shaped of octagon.

Episode of the Palatine Hill & the Roman Forum

Tomo & Chouchou bought the tickets including Roman Forum & Palatine Hill at the Roman Colosseum. So after visiting the Roman Colosseum [Colosseo], we visited the Roman Forum [Foro Romano] and the Palatine Hill [Palatino].
The Roman Forum is located in front of the Roman Colosseum.
Pass the Arch of Constantine [Arco di Costantino] situated in front of the Colosseum, and go up the small hilly street near the arch, then you can find an entrance of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill.
At the entrance, there is the Arch of Titus [Arco di Tito] which is smaller than the Arch of Constantine. But it was pretty. If you go to the right side of the Arch of Titus, we can access to the main place of the Roman Forum. But, firstly, Tomo&Chouchou went to the left side of the arch and headed toward the Palatine Hill.
On the left side of the way to the Palatino, there was the area of the former Barveni Vineyard. We imagined vineyard but we couldn't see any grape trees there. It was really "Former" vineyard. However, from the former Barveni Vineyard, we could see the whole round shape of the Roman Colosseum! Near the colosseo, it's too close to take a photo of the shape of the Roman Colosseum. We felt lucky to find this photo spot.
After keep going up the hill, we found a big Italian stone pine tree in Roman ruins. It was kinda unique, so we approached the tree. We felt like this pine tree saw the Roman history from here. It was kinda precious moment for us.

Around the big tree, there was "Palatine Stadium [Stadio Palatino]". Palatine stadium was very big. We imagined what people were doing in this stadium for a while. After we saw the ruin of Augustus' Palace [Domus Augustana] and the ruin of Domitian's Palace [Domus Flavia]. We felt Roman history more and more. It was like the time stopped. We could also see the scenery of Rome from the hill of Augustus Palace. Roman city and these Roman ruins are still matching. If there is a big gap beween modern Rome and ancient Rome, we wouldn't feel in the same way. We respect Rome as they keep the Roman history in the good way.

This is why Tomo & Chouchou love Rome. Rome is the city where we can travel through time!

Episode of the Roman Colosseum [Colosseo]

Firstly, we visited the popular landmark of Rome "The Roman Colosseum [Colosseo in Italian]”. As soon as we arrived in front of the Roman Colosseum, we were surprised to see a long line of people waiting to enter the Colosseo.

If we have a Roma Pass, we can get direct access to the Colosseum. So before going to Rome, we thought about buying Roma Passes... but we didn't have so much time to visit many museums with a Roma Pass so it was not so profitable for us. So we decided to buy regular tickets and look around Rome in our ways.

We waited for 15 - 20 minutes and we could enter the Colosseo. It was faster than we thought.
After walking a little bit from the entrance, we found a ticket booth.
The ticket is a combined ticket of Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill and it's valid for two days.

We visited from the second floor of the Colosseum at first. As soon as we entered the inside of Colosseo, we were overwhelmed to see magnificent and degnified architechture of the Colosseum. The Colosseo totally changes the appearance and colour with or without the sunshine. You had better see the Flavian Amphitheatre (Colosseum) in many directions because each view is very different.
Then we went down to the first floor. We saw the inside of Colosseo again from the first floor. We liked the view from the first floor more than the one from the second floor. Because we felt the grandeur and greatness of Colosseo more.

When we were in the Colosseo, we admired the person who had invented this architecture, and also the people who had built such a big solid Colosseum with huge stones. At the same time, we were so impressed that the Roman Colosseum was built long, long time ago, and it remained still now. We could feel the history from the Colosseo and we were very happy to be in such a historical Colosseum.
