Yu Garden/ Yuyuan Garden in Shanghai, China

Yu Garden/Yuyuan garden [Chinese: 豫园/ 豫園,Yù Yuán] 

in Shanghai [Chinese: 上海] in China.

We can enjoy Old China in Yu Garden /Yuyuan garden.

The view from the bridge was just great. 

Sometimes, the small boats passed through this river. 

 

 

Episode of Yu Garden/ Yuyuan Garden

Tomo & Chouchou went to Shanghai for business matter. We went to Yu Garden /Yuyuan garden [豫園, Yù Yuán] for sightseeing.
Yu Garden is very popular place for the tourists, so there are many souvenir shops there. Old buildings still remained in Yuyuan garden. So we could enjoy the atomosphere of old China. It was totally different from the city of Shanghai.
The view from the bridge was simply beautiful. Sometimes the small boats pass through under the bridges. The scenery was full of Old Chinese atmosphere.
Tomo & Chouchou went to Yu Garden in the daytime but Yu Garden was lit up at night. Night illumination must be more beautiful. We mised the chance to see the illumination.
Yuyuan Garden was not so big, so we could look around there in a half day.
We could find many interesting items at souvenir shops such as cheongsam (Chinese long dress) and Chinese folding fan etc. We didn't have time for shopping and eating at that time. But if we had more time, we would have drunk Chinese tea in the old Chinese style of building beside the river. For next time!!
